Jersey Shore Mom Stephanie Kearney Dies At 39: ‘Encouraged People To Be Their Best Selves’

Jersey Shore native and devoted mother Stephanie Kearney died at her home in Beachwood on Tuesday, June 20. She was 39.

Born in Toms River, Stephanie graduated from Toms River High School South in 2002 before earning her Bachelor’s degree from Georgian Court College, her obituary says.

She was known for her compassionate spirit and sense of humor, loved ones say.

Above all, Stephanie was an incredibly caring and devoted mother to her young son, Raymond.

In addition to her son, Stephanie’s surviving family members include her beloved husband, Jeffrey Kearney; parents, Frederick and Patricia Wussow; sister, Amanda Hannaford and brother-in-law Patrick Hannaford; sister, Mary Wussow and brother-in-law Joseph Navarra; nephews, Ryan Hannaford, Max and Sam Navarra; niece, Fiona Hannaford; and many more.

“You were always kind and had a great sense of humor,” Sean Thornton penned in a touching tribute.

“Always encouraged people to be their best selves,” a commenter wrote.

Stephanie’s memorial was held at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Bayville on Thursday, June 29.

Donations can be made in Stephanie’s loving memory to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, which she felt passionately about, her obituary says.

“Stephanie was a beautiful person, great wife and fantastic mother,” reads a tribute on her memorial.
